James Moore

Course Leader and Head of Education at Theatre Royal Bath

Moving from a career in formal education to work at TRB, James was one of the originators of the Bath Theatre Academy concept. Bringing together the worlds of education and theatremaking, James oversees the course and the Academy.

Course Producer & Deputy Course Leader

Laura’s background is in education, creative learning & arts participation. She oversees the recruitment of our practitioners and creative teams. She is the lead producer of all BTA’s work, pulling together the technical, logistical and creative elements of all our productions.

Kris Hallett

Curriculum Team Leader

As well as delivering practical sessions, Kris is responsible for teaching Theory to BTA students, ensuring that their written work underpins all practical learning. He worked in the industry in London for a number of years as an actor and director before moving back to the South West. Alongside his teaching work, he also works as a theatre critic for a number of publications.

Deb Miles

Course Tutor

Deb delivers Theory sessions to BTA students and is their course tutor, supporting them both academically and pastorally. She is a Bristol-based theatre maker and is Artistic Director of The Young Blood Theatre.

James Creed

Education Coordinator at Theatre Royal Bath

James facilitates the close working relationship between our team of practitioners and the core BTA team, ensuring the day to day running of the course. His background in education and arts facilitation provides support in sessions and in course content production.

As well as his work at TRB and BTA, James has toured at national and international level as a multi-disciplined musician.

Tracey_Cook_BTA

Tracey Cook

Course Administrator

Tracey has worked at The Egg, since it opened in 2005, and worked in nearly every department of the Theatre Royal Bath before that. Tracey is the Course Administrator and is the main point of contact for all of the BTA students, always on hand to answer questions and point people in the right direction.

Tracey trained in technical theatre and has a huge knowledge of backstage skills and techniques. Her organised and methodical process helps us run smoothly.
