“We are here to make sense of it all, how everything transforms and we start again”

A playful retelling of some of Ovid’s ancient myths written by the Globe’s writers-in-residence.

Metamorphoses is a gallivanting piece of storytelling, delving into the depths of the Greek gods’ cruelties and the unfortunate humans who happened to get in their way. From the everyday to the astonishing, and the ordinary to the unimaginable, Ovid’s stories explore the power of transformation, the resilience of humans and the wonder of life.

2000 years later, these stories are searingly relevant, their grizzly bloodshed and magic are merely a veil drawn across already-known truths.

Gloriously camp, violent and absurd.

There will be blood. And glitter. Lots of it.

Content warning: Contains strong adult themes, strong language, graphic depictions of violence including sexual violence, infanticide, parricide (killing a parent) and mutilation. It also features haze and loud noises.
