The Sad Club

By Luke Barnes
With music by Adam Pleeth
Directed by Krista Matthews
Performed by Bath Theatre Academy first year students

You’re doing everything right. I know it doesn’t feel like it but you are.
You are not alone.

Everyone is in the club.

What if this whole time, we’ve all been feeling the same way, we just keep it secret because we think it’s just us, eventually discovering we’re really all part of the same ‘Sad Club’.

A riotous piece of gig theatre, The Sad Club mixes live music, bold new writing and laugh-out-loud comedy to give a glimpse of what growing up is like, in all its messy, complicated glory.

Content warning: Contains references to anxiety and depression.
